FORMAT (NTSC) U.S./Canada	VHS (Tape)	Joan Young, R.N. and Emergency Staff instructor / nurse for over 20 years, hosts this video. It is helpful for new parents in preparation for the arrival of their child and covers many of the emergencies that can occur during infancy. There are tips for managing fevers and how to tell if it is time to call the doctor. The injury prevention discussion includes choking, strangulation, suffocation, burns, drowning, poisoning and falls. The discussion of SIDS is not as inclusive as I would have liked. However, the SIDS Course on this website would supplement the information provided in the video. There is also a good demonstration of basic Infant CPR / Choking techniques. Of course, for Certification, one should take the course from either the American Heart Association or Red Cross. I would highly recommend all grandparents and babysitters to watch this video before caring for infants. It is also a good refresher.

This 27 min. video demonstrates some wonderful examples of parents setting limits for their children in true situations. Dr. T. Berry Brazelton narrates and, as always, is very reassuring to parents. There is good discussion on why physical punishment is nonproductive. This video is especially good for new parents. A further descriptive note from the Rob Reiner Foundation follows: Dr. T.
